BYE Report - Cavan 2010

Tuesday 7th September 2010

Going to Cavan on a BYE team was a great way to start the summer!  The week began with the team taking the Sunday Service followed by fellowship with the church members over lunch.  Already God's blessing was apparent to the team through the hospitality of the church.  The holiday bible club ran each afternoon where aroung 40-50 kids attended.  Most children were not from a christian background so this was a great encouragement to all.  The youth nights held...

BYE Report - Omagh 2010

This year saw Omagh Baptist receive a BYE team for the first time in a long time.  The team and church clicked together from the very start and close relationships were formed.  The week involved several different activities including holiday bible clubs, youth work and literature distribution.  Children, young people and adults were all told about God and the great things He has done in the world.  It was a great team with everyone having the opportunities to use and develop their...

Camp Report - Edinburgh 2010

We had an amazing week at Edinburgh camp this year!  The activities varied from orienteering through a forest to shopping Edinburgh's famous Princes Street and not forgetting the adrenaline push of abseiling and gorge walking.  Our speaker John Kimber brought to life some les known Bible characters while the group times were an excellent opportunity to delve into the bible and discuss many real life issues that today's teenagers face.  The worship times, lead by both officers and campers were...

Camp Report - Millisle 2010

 This year saw 18 girls and 13 boys coming to stay at Millisle camp.  With a mixture of new and old campers and new and old officers we knew we were in for an interesting week and thanks to God it was a brilliant week.  There were lots of activities planned for during the week including wall climbing, crazy golf, swimming as well as the usual craft and games.  During our worship times we looked at the fruit of the spirit. ...

BYE Report - Midleton 2010

With the dry weather over 4,000 magazines were distributed through letterboxes in the surrounding area and since the week there have been a number of referrals from the magazines with at least 3 people requesting Bibles to read.  Some members took the option to engage in conversation on the doors and were able to share with a number of individuals more specific information about their Saviour's love and the work of the local church.  Most of the days it looked...
